There are nine gifts that are present in the Holy Spirit. These gifts helps us to make good choices and to serve God and others.
Love: We experience the virtue of charity and love by having care and time for God and our neighbours.
Ex: Loving each relationship with care and trust.
Joy: We live with joy.
We know that money cannot buy happiness. True happiness comes from knowing and following Christ.
Ex. Having joy and fun with everyone without bribery.
Peace: We are worry-free about problems and crisis because we experience inner peace with God. We always pray for peace around the world.
Ex. Stopping fights between friends, thus no one gets hurt.
Patience: We show patience by treating others with thoughtfulness. We try our best to wait for our turn.
Ex: Being patient will help us overcome temptations and suffering of life.
Kindness: We have kindness in our virtues by treating others how we wanted to be treated.
Ex: Treating people equally and kindly. Not bod-mouthing about their difficulties.
Goodness: We experience goodness when we believe in God by ignoring the bad and sin. We try to do what is right.
Ex: Do not steal or fight one another. Try to bring greatness in your hearts and relationship.
Gentleness: Being gentle means acting calmly and avoiding words or actions that may lead to big fights and anger.7
Ex: Gentleness in a relationship often turns out to be together for a long period of time, since there will be few fights and anger issues.
Faithfulness: We are faithful by living out our commitment or promises to the teachings of Jesus, the Bible and the Catholic Church.
Ex: Try to always read the Bible to live your commitment with teachings of Jesus. Try to also listen to masses at the Catholic Church.
Self-Control: We experience self-control by overcoming the temptations or problems we face. We also try to do God's will.
Ex: Try to get over with any temptations. Have courage. Have self-control!
