Ismael 61:1-3abcd

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me,

because the LORD has anointed me;

He has sent me to bring glad tidings to the lowly,

to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives

and release to the prisoners,

To announce a year of favor from the LORD

and a day of vindication by our God,

to comfort all who mourn;

To give them oil of gladness in place of mourning,

a glorious mantle instead of a listless Spirit.

You yourselves shall be named priests of the LORD,

I think this gospel should be read in our Confirmation. It tells us how the Holy Spirit is upon us and how Lord is beside us every time. It also explains how we should to continue helping and supporting, taking care of and loving one another. To heal and comfort those who are in pain and depression. It tells us to preach and share peace to one another. We are the ones who will serve the Lord and in place of him, we will spread his teachings and his blessed words to others. To give others hope and peace throughout their lives.
